Disease Feline Fiv

Information About Disease Feline Fiv
What is FIV?

Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is the feline's version of HIV. It weakens the cat's immune system and makes him or her more susceptible to infections and other diseases that otherwise may not affect him or her. As with HIV, there is no cure for FIV.

If you find out that your cat has FIV, it is very important to keep him or her away from other cats so the virus doesn't spread. FIV is fatal, but an infected cat can live for many years before symptoms occur.
